Feb.1,2009

Having been snowbound for a week, today after several hours of shoveling, my car is free, and backed down to where the plow stopped and the pavement is clear. It is solid ice packed under snow, that had started out a sleet storm. Over a million people in Kentucky are without power from downed electrical lines. The ice damage began just 50 miles south of me.
My photo was taken many years ago in Ferne Clyffe State Park, using an old inexpensive film camera. I used software to adjust the image.

Hi Mark, Some people are getting really bad weather over there. We had heavy snow here today but nothing like that. I`m glad you and Salty are enjoying your walks. Good to hear that you are keeping well too. Take care. :o)

Hugs

Mark I am glad you are able to get out in your car now ~ being snowbound for a week must have been awful ~ we have had a lot of snow here but it rained overnight so most of it has gone but still very icy ~ Ally x

Sorry that I have been missing your post Mark. I just didn't know you had been posting lately. I hope all that snow and ice are gone by now and that you didn't injure your back further by doing all that snow shoveling. I am still having a lot of problems with my back. It is a never ending thing. I will be glad when spring comes but dread those bad storms that bring it in. Helen
